Asghar Farhadi’s acclaimed film 'A Separation' has returned to the big screen, drawing over 5,000 viewers at a special outdoor screening in Italy.

Fourteen years after its original release, Asghar Farhadi’s acclaimed film 'A Separation' has returned to the big screen, drawing over 5,000 viewers at a special outdoor screening in Italy.

The screening took place on early July as part of the Il Cinema Ritrovato festival, an annual event dedicated to showcasing impressive works in cinema history.

The Oscar-winning drama was shown in Bologna’s main square, where it received an enthusiastic welcome from the large crowd in attendance.

Farhadi was present as a special guest for the event.

Originally released in 2011, 'A Separation' won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2012 and remains one of Farhadi’s most recognized works internationally.

The film explores the complexities of family, justice, and social issues in contemporary Iran.

The film stars Peyman Maadi, Leila Hatami and Shahab Hosseini.
